ABOUT THE DIRECTOR ET INTERPRÈTE :

Danielle Agami

Always curious about the fusion between cultures, Agami has lived on 3 different continents, bringing a rich multicultural flavor to her work. Admitting that the research will never end she keeps her process alive on and off stage.

ate9 was founded in 2012 in the US and today is based in Paris and touring internationally. Agami has been a Gaga teacher since 2003, known for her independent voice in the dance community and her integrity as a female director and lead dancer. She was born in Jerusalem and danced with The Batsheva Dance company for 8 years.

PERFORMING ARTISTS’ BIOGRAPHIES

Gianni Notarnicola (born in 1996 in Monopoli, Italy) is a dancer and choreographer.
He joined the Batsheva Dance Company in 2021, after dancing with the Batsheva Ensemble and the Avshalom Pollak Dance Theatre. He performs Ohad Naharin’s works internationally and collaborated in the creation of MOMO. Alongside his performing career, he has been developing his own choreographic work since 2018, with pieces such as DAME, LA BATTAGLIA, B.O.A.T.S, G.O.A.T.S, and KAMA. The latter was awarded at the Stuttgart International Solo-Dance-Theatre Festival in 2024 (2nd Prize for

Choreography and the Audience Award). An independent artist and Gaga teacher, he continues to create and present his choreographic language internationally.

Billy Barry (born in 1989 in New York) is a dancer and choreographer. Trained at The Ailey School and a graduate of The Juilliard School (2011), he joined the Batsheva Ensemble in 2011 before becoming a member of the Batsheva Dance Company in 2012. He performed Ohad Naharin’s repertoire internationally and was appointed Assistant Rehearsal Director in 2022, while continuing his performing career until 2024. He received the Yair Shapira Award for Excellence in Dance in 2019. Alongside his performing career, he has developed his own choreographic work since 2022, notably in collaboration with Gianni Notarnicola. Together, they created the duets B.O.A.T.S and G.O.A.T.S, presented in Israel and across Europe. In 2023, Billy also created several personal works, including PETER – a story ballet, DansHer, and the trio B THIGH STAR. An independent artist, he continues his path as both performer and creator, exploring a choreographic language that is physical, theatrical, and rooted in contemporary research.

Omri Drumlevich (born in 1992 in Israel) is a movement artist, performer, and artistic director. A former dancer and rehearsal director with the Batsheva Dance Company (2010–2017), he later became a principal cast member of Sleep No More by Punchdrunk in New York (2018–2024). He is the founder and artistic director of Blisspoint and the creator of Centrifuge, research spaces where rigor meets spontaneity. As a movement director and teacher, Omri guides performers and artists toward greater freedom, nuance, and curiosity in their physical practice. His work is rooted in Gaga, which he has been teaching since 2012, as a language that fosters authentic physical exploration, a connection to the joy of movement, and cathartic expression.
