מחול בבית: פולחן האביב // 8 בדצמבר
בעבודה חדשה לארבעה גברים, שבים הכוריאוגרפים יוסי ברג ועודד גרף אל "פולחן האביב", יצירתו המונומנטלית של איגור סטרוינסקי, אשר נוצרה במקור ערב מלחה"ע ה-1 - כדי לבחון אתוסים של פולחן, הקרבה וגבריות בהקשר מקומי ועכשווי. ברג וגרף רוקדים ביצירה לצד טל אדלר אריאלי ואבשלום לטוכה, כאשר יחד מגלמים הארבעה בגופם מגוון דימויים סותרים מתוך הזיכרון הקולקטיבי, ונעים בין ביטויי מיניות סוערת, יצריות ואלימות - לחמלה, רוך ועדנה. העבודה נעה בין עבר לעתיד, ומעלה שאלות אודות הקשר שבין כינון הזהות הגברית, מיניות והערצת המולדת - ודרך גוף, טקסט ותנועה - מבקשת להציע פולחן מסוג חדש.
In a new work for four men, choreographers Yossi Berg and Oded Graf return to the "Rite of Spring", Igor Stravinsky’s monumental work, originally created on the eve of World War I, to examine the ethos of cult, sacrifice and masculinity in a local, contemporary context. Alongside Tal Adler Arieli and Avshalom Latucha, the four play a variety of contradictory images from the collective memory, ranging from expressions of stormy sexuality, passion, and violence to compassion and tenderness. The work moves from past to future, raising questions about the connection between the establishment of masculine identity, sexuality and the adoration of the homeland - and through body, text and movement - seeks to offer a new kind of cult.

בשנת 2005 לאחר קריירות מצליחות בלהקות להקת בת שבע, להקת המחול הקיבוצית, להקת די וי 8 הבריטית בלונדון ואוסטרליה, ועוד. במשך השנים, בנו רפרטואר עבודות בעל שפה תנועתית אישית, מגובשת וייחודית.
יוסי ועודד יצרו רפרטואר עשיר של עבודות כזה המשלב פיסיות וירטואוזית וז'אנרים בימתיים שונים, תוך כדי חקירה של אמנות פלסטית, תיאטרליות, טקסט וקול. הם מציעים אלטרנטיבות בימתיות המבקשות לגעת בסובבים אותם בדרכים המערערות תפישות מקובלות, המציעות דרכים חדשות להסתכלות על מחול ועל התפיסה התיאטרלית.
ברג וגרף מופיעים תדיר בפסטיבלים ובתיאטראות בעולם, זכו בתחרויות כוריאוגרפיה שונות, ויוצרים ללהקות ולבתי אופרה באירופה, סקנדינביה, ובארה"ב. להקתם הופיעה בפסטיבלים יוקרתיים בינלאומיים, בין השאר, בפסטיבל מונפלייה בצרפת, באמריקן דאנס פסטיבל בארה"ב, בתיאטרון הפלייס בלונדון, בפסטיבל סידאנס בקוריאה, מדריד דאנזה בספרד, בלגרד דאנס פסטיבל בסרביה, תיאטרון הג'וייס בניו יורק, הפסטיבלים הבינ"ל למחול ברפובליקה הדומיניקאנית בקריביים ובלימה פרו, ביפן, טייוואן, שבדיה, פינלנד, גרמניה, צרפת, איטליה, יוון ועוד. יוסי ועודד הם אמנים נבחרים מטעם קרן הבלט אלברט גובייר, דנמרק, קרן שוסטרמן, ארה"ב, וארגון האירווויבס האירופאי. זוכי פרס משרד התרבות לשנת 2011 ו 2013 בתחום הכוריאוגרפיה ובפרס רוזנבלום לאמנויות הבמה לאמנים מצטיינים לשנת 2016. בנוסף להופעות הלהקה, דגש רב ניתן לפעילות חינוכית של יצירה בקהילה ברחבי הארץ. יוסי ועודד מלמדים ומעבירים סדנאות ומפגשים לאורך השנים בתחומי היצירה, הקומפוזיציה ופיתוח השפה האישית של הדור הצעיר. תיאטרון מחול יוסי ברג ועודד גרף היא עמותה ללא מטרות רווח לקידום אומנות מקורית וייחודית בעלת נגיעות חברתיות, ושפה אומנותית המבטאת יצירתיות ויופי.

Since the beginning of their partnership in 2005 (after having incredibly successful individual careers including companies such as, Batsheva Dance Company, DV8 Physical Theatre, etc), this dynamic duo has built a reputation for creating supremely physical, provocative, and poignant dance works. Their company is touring extensively in the most prestigious festivals around the world (Montpellier Danse, American Dance Festival, The Joyce Theater NYC, DansensHus Stockholm, SIDance South Korea, to name but a few); they create for opera houses and won numerous choreography awards. Yossi & Oded offer new ways of looking at dance and exploring performance. Yossi & Oded were Aerowaves artists; received Israel's Ministry of Culture Award for Outstanding Choreographers and in 2016 were awarded the Rosenblum Prize for Artistic Excellence in the Performing Arts. The choreographers’ rich repertory includes 10 evening length works and many short works. They teach extensively around the world, focusing on the next generation of dancers. The Company was featured in the movie LET’S DANCE! for ARTE channel and in various publications including The Weizmann International Magazine of Science and The New York Times.

“Through rituals we deal with fears, with our embroiled existence, passions and the finality of death. Yet, the more violence we have around us, the more aggressive we become, which often makes us numb towards others’ suffering. Surprisingly, these issues are very rare on our stages.
Berg and Graf managed to create a work which suggest some of these issues, in a subtle, often clever and humorous way, and still find room for sensuous and compassionate scenes as important components of reality.
The choreographers managed to do all this in a tight, cohesive manner with solid and bright structure. It will be remembered as one of their finer creations in terms of well-layered content, cerebral alignment and highly aesthetic production”
